Ok, so when I moved to Ohio to be with my boyfriend, I had to leave my cat behind with my parents because you're not allowed to take animals on the bus, plus my parents said they'd bring her to me when either they moved closer or could visit and bring her to me. Which I was fine with.
Well, last night while my boyfriend and I were in the middle of watching a movie, I get a phone call from my dad telling me that they're moving to a new town in Arizona in February and that they're somehow going to be able to keep my mom's little dog, but they won't be able to keep my cat and that they gave my cat to my cousin.
Firstly, I am not pleased that they didn't call and tell me first that they were considering moving and would potentially need to do something with my cat, nor am I happy about who they gave my cat to. Their house is usually a disgusting mess with dog shit and god knows what else everywhere and they've had other cats randomly drop dead that weren't all that old. Not to mention they have a doggy door and I'm afraid my cat will go out of it and get hurt or killed, especially since they live out in the country and my cat is declawed.
I want to transport my cat from Arizona to Ohio, but I currently don't have the money to do that or get her checked out to the vet, so she could be transported.
Anyone have any ideas on what I could do to get up the money quickly to get my cat ? I'm not good enough to do commissions and I currently don't have a job, so that's not an option. Any suggestions would be helpful !!!
Edit: I was able to get my cat back and another family member will be caring for her, until a way to transport her from AZ to OH is found.
